Manhattan Boulevard Beautification Project Completed

On July 18th, Jefferson Parish officials gathered at the corner of Manhattan Boulevard and Lapalco Boulevard to celebrate the completion of the Manhattan Boulevard beautification project.

On July 18th, Jefferson Parish officials gathered at the corner of Manhattan Boulevard and Lapalco Boulevard to celebrate the completion of the Manhattan Boulevard beautification project.

The project includes fabrication and installation of a decorative landscape wall constructed of steel square tube. This wall is illuminated at night with LED accent lights. Also included is the installation of landscape, irrigation and drainage. The existing live oak trees were used as focal points of this beautification project. Also included are two stainless steel sculptures of the Jefferson Parish Pelican logo.

Final cost of the project was $392,698.00.  Design and Construction Engineer was Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. and the contractor was Hard Rock Construction Company, LLC.
