I Am for the Child™ Run/Walk

CASA Jefferson, Inc.’s first annual I Am for the Child™ Run/Walk, presented by EZParker, will be held on Saturday, November 12th beginning at 7:30 a.m. at LaSalle Park in Metairie. This run/walk brings together the community, local businesses, CASA Jefferson, Inc.’s advocates and supporters, friends and family for a great morning of exercise and fundraising to support the work of CASA Jefferson volunteers.

Last year alone, Louisiana CASA advocates served more than 3315 children who were in the state’s custody as a result of abuse and/or neglect. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteers are caring and competent community individuals who are supervised by CASA professional staff and appointed by a Judge. CASA Jefferson is committed to ensuring that all children in foster care have a qualified, compassionate, committed adult – a CASA volunteer – to look out for the best interest of the child.

All participants will receive a race T-shirt and bag, and are invited to enjoy the after race party.  Participants will enjoy music played by DJ 1Tyme, food, beverages and an exciting KidZone. In the KidZone, children will enjoy JoJo the Clown, face painting, bounce houses and more! Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners, along with age category winners. All participants will receive recognition for their participation.
