Harvey Golden Age Club Tours the City of Gretna

The Harvey Golden Age Club was treated to a wonderful tour of Old Gretna recently starting with a meet and greet with the mayor of Gretna Belinda Constant.

They enjoyed a screening of the Gretna highlights and coffee and donuts with the mayor who took questions awards.  The group then took a tour of the David Crocket Fire Co No. 1, Kittie Strehle House, Gretna Green Black Smith shop, German American Museum and Saint Joseph church and gardens.  The members enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Gretna Depot Restaurant.  The club also took part in the Hook & Ladder cemetery tour on Saturday night and some members attended Late Night Catechism performance on Sunday night.  The Club would like to give a big thanks to Ronnie Gauthreaux for setting up the tour and wonderful lunch.
