Blueberry Hill… In Concert is Set to Dazzle Audiences

From August 25th to August 27th, the Jefferson Performing Arts Society and Teatro Wego! will present The Songs of Blueberry Hill…In Concert! Butch Caire, creator of the smash hit Blueberry Hill trilogy of musicals, will perform the biggest hits from the shows and tell the stories behind the songs and the New Orleans R&B performers who introduced them to the world.

If you’re a fan of Fats Domino, Irma Thomas, Lee Dorsey, Aaron Neville, Art Neville, Ernie K Doe, and the other artists who recorded at Cosimo Matassa’s tiny New Orleans recording studio and went on to influence music around the world, you won’t want to miss this musical mosey down memory lane.

Blueberry Hill is a jukebox musical in the same vein as classics such as Mamma Mia! And Jersey Boys. The show pays tribute to early rock ‘n roll and R&B classics by local musicians who would become national household names. Songs by such artists as Fats Domino, Irma Thomas, Ernie K-Doe, Aaron Neville and the Dixie Cups are featured. Butch Caire will take to the stage and not only perform the songs, but will bring the stories behind them to life. The show is meant to act as a tribute to New Orleans inspired rock ‘n roll and R&B and the musicians who introduced this music to the mainstream and forever changed the tapestry of the American music catalog. This is a show that is sure to delight music fans of all ages.
