I recently had the opportunity to meet with Frank Christian, the CEO and experience creator at NOLA Motorsports Park. I had never been here before, so I was excited to get a tour and learn about what the park had to offer. NOLA Motorsports started with 750 acres of undeveloped land, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. What was built has become a destination spot for speed lovers, not only in Louisiana, but from all over the Gulf South, since 2011. On these professional tracks, you have the opportunity to race go karts and you can drive or ride in a selection of the world’s best exotic supercars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or Nissan GT-R.
The Go Kart experience is designed for people 52” and taller who are just getting the feel of driving on a track. A 10 minute heat starts at $20 on Monday, Thursday and Friday and $25 on Saturday and Sunday. Price also varies depending on what type of kart you’re driving. Kart speeds vary between 25mph and 60mph, depending on the type of kart.
Xtreme Xperience is your opportunity to drive exotic supercars at NOLA Motorsports Park on 1.8 miles of race track. Packages start at $99 and is the perfect gift for any occasion from birthdays and team building to birthday, bachelor and bachelorette parties. For $595 you can even race Mustangs and receive coaching from a professional driving coach. If this is your first time driving, the folks at NOLA Motorsports will tell you everything you need to know so that you get the most out of your experience and all you need is a valid driver’s license. All of the cars are fully automatic or have paddle shifters, so driving them is easy and there’s no need to shift. In two hours, you are sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.
When I visited, I was able to see the gorgeous meeting space, where businesses are invited to hold meetings, while enjoying a view of the track and exotic cars. The Speed Shop can host 80 people comfortably in a room that is equipped with 8’ tables, chairs, a projector with a 100” screen, speakers, microphones and dedicated wifi. Food and drinks can also be provided, upon request. What better place to have your next meeting? Move out of that boring room at the local hotel and bring your guests to a venue that is sure to make an impression.
NOLA Motorsports also hosts regular events and on July 22nd from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm they will be hosting their annual Westbank Beer Fest. This festival will be held in the 34,000 square foot event center and will offer beer samples from breweries such as 40 Arpent Brewing, Abita Brewing, Great Raft Brewing, Lazy Magnolia and many others. Admission starts at $15 and gets you a souvenir tasting mug, unlimited pours, photo op with real race cars, raffles for driving and riding experiences at the park, kart track demos and much more. Entertainment will be provided by Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, The Roots of Music Marching Crusaders, and DJ Brice Nice. The non-profit beneficiaries for the event will be the 610 Stompers. Shuttles will also be provided to and from the event at Harrah’s Casino, Walk On’s in Clearview and the Northshore. Last year the event welcomed 600 attendees and they are expecting an even bigger turn out this year.
