Judge John Molaison sworn in as newest judge on the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal

Judge John Molaison was recently sworn in as the newest judge on the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. From 2007 to 2018, Judge Molaison served Division E on the 24th Judicial District State Court serving residents of Jefferson Parish. From 2011 to 2018, Judge Molaison was the Chief Judge of the 24th JDC.

Judge Molaison received his undergraduate degree from Loyola New Orleans in 1983 and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1986.   He spent many of his early years as a respected prosecutor in the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office and one of the top administrators in the DA’s office before being elected to the bench.
