Lafitte Town Hall Christmas Lighting Event

The Town of Jean Lafitte held its annual Christmas Lighting Celebration with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday, November 25th at the Jean Lafitte Town Hall.

Hundreds of area residents came out to participate in the annual event. Members of the Lafitte, Barataria, and Crown Point Volunteer Fire Department participated with the arrival of Santa. Children were able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus bringing with them their wish list for Christmas Day.

The annual event which is coordinated by Mayor Tim Kerner, the Town of Jean Lafitte Council, Police Department, and staff continues to grow in size.  In addition to having a visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a train carried those in attendance through a Christmas Wonderland located on the walking trail between Town Hall and Bayou Barataria.

There was plenty of food, folks, and fun as Christmas got kicked off ‘Along the Bayou’.
